FOSTER HOMES NEEDED

When kitten season comes upon us, we need quiet homes for moms and babes. We also have orphans who require special feeding schedules. Fostering saves many lives.

Dogs arriving at the Cowichan shelter come with many needs. Some require short term Medical care; some arrive with their puppies, some arrive very scared and stressed, and most arrive without any training such as walking on leash and the basic doggie manners. Many have never seen the inside of a home. The kennels are always full and individual attention is limited. The dogs require so much more to send them on their journey to their forever homes. Fostering may be one of the most rewarding and fun things you can do. If you think you can help, please come into the shelter and fill out an application form. We would love to hear from you and would be more than happy to answer any of your questions on fostering.
